Ah, the long awaited bathroom organization!

I have been telling myself over & over again that I needed to organize my bathroom drawers, but honestly it was one of those things that was at the bottom of my lengthy to-do list. Inspired by countless Pinterest Pins and YouTube videos, I finally set myself to organize my cluttered bathroom drawers.

If you’re like me and are looking for some motivation & inspiration to get started with your organization journey, then read on. I’ll be sharing the exact link to the acrylic containers that I used for organizing, later in this post.

As you're going to see from my before pictures, I really had no system for keeping my products organized, other than having them separated by the drawers they were in. Some of you might think that they don’t even look that bad at all, and I completely understand that because there's probably some people with drawers that are worse than mine. But as someone who has grown to love cleaning & organizing, as well as having determined that I work better in a clutter-free environment, I needed a change! I had a few different bins in my drawers to separate certain products like my toothbrush & contact cases, but they were bins I had used in other spaces of my home throughout the past few years and I just threw them into my bathroom for the time being.

For me as an African American woman with high maintenance hair, my struggle has been trying to keep my hair products & accessories to a minimum. For space reasons, I chose to get rid of products that weren’t fully serving my needs anymore. I only kept the items that I could tell were making a difference in the overall health of my hair. Although it felt like I was throwing some of my money in the trash, the relief that I felt afterward from having fewer products in my space was so worth it!

I’m sure if you’re one who is also interested in organizing using clear bins, then you are familiar with how costly some of them can be. Unfortunately, the ones I purchased are not currently available, but I did find another great option of organizer bins linked here that contains 25 pieces.

The set comes with 4 different sized bins ranging from small to large, which is perfect for creating a layout that fits your needs. I definitely plan on ordering another set to help me organize my desk drawers in my office!

After pairing up the different sized bins with the items that I wanted to go in them, I found it to be smooth sailing from there. I used the longer bins to organize my oral and eye care products and used the wider containers to fit my larger items, such as my combs and brushes, as well as bigger skin care bottles. Lastly, I made use of the small containers by organizing things that can get messy quick, such as Q-Tips and flossers.

I feel so much better now being able to wake up and have things clearly organized for me! It not only helps my mind be more at peace, but it also helps my mornings to go a lot smoother, since I can find everything so easily now. If you haven't already, I encourage you to start your decluttering and organization process, because the end results are so worth the work that you put in!
