“From where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

As I looked into this month, I asked the Lord what did He have to share with His people or what was on His heart for them. He said that He wants His people to be encouraged and reminded that He is our Helper. He desires to help us and to be involved within our lives.
I remember many times where I thought I could do something on my own or even thought I had to. I felt like there was an expectation given and I needed to meet it. If not, I was worthless or even if I did meet it and fell short of maintaining it, I still wasn’t worthy. I am so happy to know that God doesn’t see us like this. I’ve had many walls and built up ideas about God and who He was and what He thought about me. It took a bit of time for me to fully accept the character that He presented to me. I didn’t know Him that way. I didn’t know Him personally. I didn’t know that He would allow me to know Him personally. But even in that He helped me.
He helped me to see Him rightly as He is. Gentle. Patient. Happy. Loving. Compassionate. Kind. Thoughtful. He has been all of that to me. He gently corrected me when I was wrong. His discipline was sure and matter of fact, but I didn’t feel cast off even through it. He covered me in grace when I made a mistake(s) at work. He encouraged me while I worked through them to fix them. He helped me to take better care of my home, car, and finances. He helped me understand how to care for my hair and skin. He has helped me through it all.
So I want to encourage you that even through your times of weakness or weariness, the Lord is there just patiently waiting on you to let Him help you; for you to invite Him in to take part in your life and trouble. For every area that you feel you are falling short; for every dream that you feel is not fulfilled. For every desire that seems impossible to reach, invite Him in to help you. He loves you and is so excited to be apart of your journey.
“I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.”
“He will not let your foot be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep.”
“The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.”
“The Lord will keep you from all evil;
He will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
Your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forevermore.”
Psalm 121
