The Lord is With You

The Lord is with you - waterfall, mountain and valley

‘The Lord is with thee” are words that are read often through Scripture. These words either meant alot or not much to the receiver. But how would you feel to know that the Lord IS with thee. Would it change your outlook on your situation? Would it make you more confident to face your fears or to fight back against your enemies? Here’s what I think:

If we know and believe that the Lord is with us, we should be the most confident, unafraid, and bold people on the planet.

Now we need to clarify the people that the Lord is with. Psalm 14:5 says

“But the wicked are filled with terror because God is with those who do what is right.”

The Lord is with the people who reverence Him, claim Him as their God, and are obedient to His words. Now if you feel as if you are lacking in obedience and struggling with following Him, don’t lose hope because there is grace and the Lord will teach us how to follow Him as we go.

[But you must be submitted to Him fully. You cannot have one foot in the door and one foot out. He deserves full submission.]

If we were fully confident that the Lord was with us, there would be nothing that we couldn’t conquer. There would be no job that seemed too out of reach for us because we feel we are unqualified. There would be no insecurity or fear holding us back from speaking and standing in front of thousands. There would be no fear of what people think and how they would judge you once you speak up or step out on faith. God being with us would be fully enough to help us overcome any hurdle or mountain or to wait patiently on Him to move the mountain for us. He would simply be enough.

I remember getting ready to interview for a job just a few years ago, and I was nervous that I would be unqualified because I didn’t have a lot of experience. A woman of God spoke to me and said to go to the interview confidently because God was with me and to ask for the pay that I wanted. While that definitely cheered me up and I did go to the interview confident, I got scared when they asked me how much I would like to be paid. For some reason, speaking about money always scared me. So I short changed myself and guess what? I did get the job but they gave me exactly the pay that I asked for in the interview. I was a little disappointed in my lack of confidence/faith but still happy nonetheless to have the job! But, because of the Lord’s GRACE and Him being with me, I got a raise not even a few weeks into the job to the exact pay that I wanted!! Glory to God!!

I’m telling you there is NOTHING too hard for you when the Lord is with you! He will move mountains for you and be there to help you succeed. Don’t doubt His faithfulness to you. He is the word faithful! Be confident to live life unashamed and boldly because the Lord your God is with thee!

“Remember that I commanded you to be strong and brave. So don’t be afraid. The Lord your God will be with you everywhere you go.” -Joshua 1:9

I also encourage you to read 2 Kings 19- the story of King Hezekiah vs Sennacherib. This story really encouraged me and made me glad to hear of the way that the Lord was still with His people in the defeat of Sennacherib who made them afraid.
